Focusing on your breath, practicing visualization, and relying on a supportive birth environment or partner can all aid in staying present. Preparing mentally and having a birthing plan can also contribute to a more grounded and in-the-moment experience during labour.

In a broader sense, grounding can also refer to establishing a connection with the Earth, such as walking barefoot on natural surfaces, as part of practices like earthing or grounding.

Being outdoors in the morning has benefits of exposure to early morning sunlight which is an excellent way to naturally boost Vitamin D levels. The sun's rays in the morning contain UVB rays, which help the skin produce Vitamin D. Just a short time in the sun, usually around 10-15 minutes, can contribute to maintaining healthy Vitamin D levels critical for the development of a healthy baby.
